Floorplan have announced their return to Classic Music Company with a two-track release, ‘The Curse Breaker / What You Need’.

Out 15th September, the 12” will join the duo’s growing catalogue of previous releases on Luke Solomon's label, which include 2021’s ‘Get My Mansion Ready / Out Of Control’, and ‘We Give Thee Honour/ Makes Me Wanna’, released in February this year.

The first of the two new tracks, ‘The Curse Breaker’, combines a religious sermon with Floorplan’s signature gospel house sound, while ‘What You Need’ leans into the duo’s disco influences with hints of classic twentieth century soul.

The project follows a string of summer remixes from the father-daughter outfit, including a Floorplan remix of Dames Brown’s ‘Glory (ft Waajeed)’ on Defected, and a gospel techno refit of Star B’s ‘House Sound’ for Snatch Records.

Earlier this year, Robert Hood’s seminal solo LP ‘Waveform Transmission Vol. 2’ was reissued to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Originally released under the alias The Vision, Hood’s 1993 album was given a new, 2XLP re-release via legendary Berlin techno imprint, Tresor.

‘The Curse Breaker / What You Need’ is out via Classic Music Company on 15th September. Pre-order the release here.
