Julio Bashmore has released a new single, ‘Bubblin’, on Local Action.

The sub-heavy UK Garage cut is the Bristol-based artist’s first new music under his Julio Bashmore moniker since 2015, and will be the first in a series of new releases planned for the year ahead.

Bashmore stepped away from the circuit following his 2015 debut album ‘Knockin’ Boots’, released via Broadwalk Records, re-surfacing only to drop a couple of discreet white label 12”s under the Bash alias in the years since.

Releasing on labels including 3024, Futureboogie, Dirtybird, and PMR Records, Bashmore was a key player in the UK’s underground house scene of the early 2010s, later becoming a household name thanks to heavily-rotated hits like ‘Au Seve’ and ‘Battle for Middle You’.

Since then, the producer has released just one video online (last April) where he can be seen tinkering with a range of hardware at his Bristol home.

On Friday, Overmono opened their fabric set with ‘Bubblin’, celebrating the release of their anticipated debut album, ‘Good Lies’, on XL Recordings.
