Kyiv and Liverpool to host simultaneous Ukraine fundraising raves in May

Kyiv and Liverpool are set to host simultaneous Ukraine fundraising raves next month.

Taking place as part of EuroFestival, which will be held across two weeks in May while Liverpool hosts this year's Eurovision, RAVE UKraine takes place in the Ukrainian capital's HVLV venue and the Northern English city's CONTENT Liverpool club at the same time on Sunday, 7th May.

Among those set to play the event's Liverpool edition are Hot Chip, DJ Paulette, James Lavelle, Jodie Harsh, Sarah Story and Ukrainian artists Minulitka and Human Magareeta. The acts set to perform at the Kyiv rave are Petya Cantrust, JANE, Raavel, Pledov and Lostlojik.

Both raves will be live-streamed to the other so, in the words of organisers, "the music and dancing can cross borders in a show of unity and solidarity." All profits will go to Music Saves UA. Tickets are available here and here.

Last month, Kyiv club Closer announced a new Sunday party series to pay for fire damage repairs.

Back in February, a charity live stream to aid powering hospitals in Ukraine took place.
