Peggy Gou’s Gudu Records has announced a new compilation series.

Curated by Gou, the first volume of 'Gudu & Friends' kicks off an annual series that will encompass both digital releases and cassettes. The eight-track LP spotlights two of South Korea’s rising electronic acts Closet Yi and Salamanda as well as featuring tracks from Gudu label mates DMX Krew, Mogwaa, Hiver, Dukwa and Brain de Palma.

There's also a contribution from Lady Blacktronika, ‘He Can Never Love You’, which the label describes as "a classic LB cut that gets warpy and freaky as only she can".

The compilation artwork, created by illustrator Jin Young Cho, is themed around the lunar new year. Check out the release below and pick up a copy from Bandcamp here.

Gou launched Gudu Records in 2019 with her now signature hit 'Starry Night' and has put out more of her own music including ‘I Go’, ‘Nabi’ along with a string of other artist releases.

The Berlin-based producer and DJ landed the No. 24 spot in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll of 2022. That same year, she secured a track on the new Batman soundtrack.
