Before making his mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its DC counterpart, James Gunn was in the world of adultifying family-friendly properties with two live-action Scooby-Doo adventures complete with corny dialogue fit for the cheesiest of adult videos.
With the continued revival of Scooby and the gang, some users were interested to know if Gunn would make the two films into a trilogy and Gunn was pretty blunt about it over on Twitter. In response to a person tagging him in a response to another person’s tweet.
“James Gunn should make Scooby-Doo 3 and have the gang come back together one last time.”
He’s considered the idea, but decided against it because the titular canine is probably dead.
I’ve considered it. But Great Danes have a lifespan of around 8 years so I don’t know how to get around that. https://t.co/0QbTHhpBUM

So, yeah, as far as Gunn’s concerned we’re not gonna see any more live-action Scooby-Doo movies unless someone else wants to take a crack at it, but we’re sure it wouldn’t be the same.
